FAMILY WEEKEND ABC-HOUSE 1st AND 2nd OF FEBRUARY 2025
BATHS
Do you feel like a fish in the water? That’s possible because 383 million years ago we were water creatures.
Or maybe you prefer paddling, forest bathing or mud bathing?
During this family weekend, you can come play chess and puzzles with us in the Budapest thermal baths, bricolage a towel rack, create a diving flip book or design a pool tile. You will learn about the architecture of swimming, steam and other baths and discover bathing rituals from around the world. In the movement area, you can play a game of water polo or take a session of dry swimming.
We’ll do a double back flip and dive into the New Year together, welcome!

Workshop Swimdesign – LaM
ABC and the educational department of the LaM, a museum in Villeneuve d’Ascq in northern France, will be working closely together over the next few months.
During this workshop, we will experiment with colorful swimsuits and explore who or what is hiding at the bottom of the pool.

TukTuk tour and workshop ‘Presque La Mer’.
The Tuktuk is a mobile cabinet of curiosities, with expo drawers and artists’ books. You can find this poetic vehicle on the Place Gaucheret or in the Zenne Park.
In the labo class, artist Anne-Emilie Philippe guides a workshop on “Presque la mer,” a book to read in the water, whose dried pages evoke the sound of the waves….
During this workshop, you will make your own little book.

Kamishibai storytelling
You’ll find our storytellers with a collection of swimming, fishing and boating stories by bike on Place Gaucheret or in the kamishibai space in the ABC House.
