During the workshop for adults, you will each time explore a particular aspect from the ABC ateliers and the library. Accompanied by an experienced guide, you will try out different activities and get a lot of inspiration to continue working at home or in the classroom.

Toy Workshop 1 & 2

A workshop at the ABC woodworking Studio where you can make your own toys: animal figures, rolling objects, toys that make sounds, stacking blocks, puzzles, rattles… anything is possible!
Choose from our suggestions or come to the workshop with your own idea.
ABC’s extensive library—toy catalogs, suggestions, and information about Roberto Papetti, Emmi Pikler, Eames, Hugo Kükelhaus, and many others—offers plenty of inspiration.
You can sign up for one session or both sessions, so you’ll have plenty of time to finish everything.

Sound and noise are all around us. They form a soundscape that has inspired humanity since the dawn of time.
Rhythm is found in our breathing, in language, song, and poetry, and is present when we walk, run, count, or draw.
During this workshop, we’ll discover simple tools to get started with body percussion and explore rhythm in all its forms.

In the age of AI, the art of “writing” seems to have shifted into a different dimension.
But what about poetry? Of course, artificial intelligence can rhyme, break down texts, and recombine them, but can it also write poems that are pure, human, get to the very essence of something, and touch you so deeply that you feel as if you’re drowning?
It doesn’t have to involve many words; it can even work without any words at all—just think of visual poetry.
But how do you get started? Is there a formula or recipe for it?
For one evening, we’ll dive into poeisis (Greek for “to make,” “to create”), letting words dance and blend together, forming new units. We’ll surf between sense and nonsense, make haikus sound like rap music, play with word and letter collages, and unleash typographic fantasies.
